Winthrop-University Hospital Appoints New Patient Experience Officer

Mineola, NY – In keeping with its unwavering commitment to clinical excellence and providing safe, quality patient care, Winthrop-University Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Merrick resident Nicole Rossol to the position of Patient Experience Officer.
In this new leadership role, Ms. Rossol is charged with the design and implementation of a comprehensive strategy to continuously improve the experience of patients and their families, while fostering an organization-wide approach to patient centeredness and engagement.
“In keeping with our organizational goals for clinical excellence and an optimal experience for our patients and their families, we are pleased to welcome Ms. Rossol to the Winthrop leadership team,” said Monica Santoro, MS, BSN, RN, CPHQ, Senior Vice President and Chief Quality Officer at Winthrop. “We know that Ms. Rossol’s extensive experience in the healthcare industry will serve her well in this new role, which is dedicated entirely to the patient experience at Winthrop.”
Ms. Rossol joins Winthrop from St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, where she most recently served as Director of Patient Experience. Prior to that, she was the Director of Patient and Family Centered Care at North Shore University Hospital. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Human Services from Boston University and a Master of Science Degree in Child Life from Bank Street College of Education, where she currently serves as a faculty member.
